My name is Jyll Hoyrup and I grew up in and currently live in the Pacific Northwest. I lived overseas in my youth (Egypt and Germany) and it was there that I discovered a whole world outside my hometown of Kirkland, Washington and the United States. I enjoy traveling, discovering new places, cultures and people.
I’ve enjoyed many parts of the USA from the West to the East coast. I lived in Idaho and Utah after high school and graduated from Brigham Young University. I have always been interested in human development and people and relationships so a major in Family Science and a minor in Psychology seemed to fit both points of interest.
Baskin-Robbins was my first real job (after the paper route) and will always have a soft spot in my heart - who doesn’t love ice cream? After college I held jobs in the Juvenile court system and the healthcare and aerospace industries.
I am an avid reader - mostly mysteries and personal growth and spiritual type of books. I have an extensive library and one of my favorite pasttimes is to peruse the local Half Price Books. I enjoy writing as well and have kept a Journal for over 30 years. I write poetry and the occasional short story. One of my goals is to publish my poetry, which includes over 350 poems, and write a book. I enjoy movies and hanging out with friends. I like to keep active and healthy. At the gym you will find me on the eliptical or at a kickboxing, pilates, or yoga class. I like playing basketball (don’t let the height fool you, 3-pointers are my specialty - when I’ve been practicing!), tennis, raquetball and badminton. I love the water and anything related to it - boating, wakeboarding, water-skiing and even started to learn to slalom two years ago.
I believe that each of us has the power to create our life the way we want and can utilize positive thinking, Imaging and Intention to achieve our goals and desires. About 5 years ago I began studying Energy Healing or Energy Transformation and using that as an alternate way of healing. I have had impressive results in almost every area of my life using these modalities.
I serve on my condo’s Homeowner Association Board and have been actively involved in our pursuit of a Building Defect lawsuit against our Builder. This has proved to be a challenging situation, especially as a first time homeowner. I am learning a lot about Insurance policy’s and their coverage (or lack of) and Washington laws, not to mention how to harness the disappointment when people do not take responsibility for their actions. I’m a real stickler for Fairness, so this has been a good experience for me.
Most recently I have gotten excited about starting my own Quixtar business. I will have my own online shopping mall, similar to The Mall of America, and provide access to over a million products and services! I will build a subscriber base and teach other people how to start their own online mall, eventually allowing me to retire from my day job and simply manage my online mall from anywhere in the world!
